The Fifteenth Legion
by Kent Baker
This work is about the Roman Legion Apollinaris, or the 15th Legion, raised by Octavian (Augustus) around 41/40 BCE, which replaced the previous Legion of the same number which met its end in Africa in 49 BCE. Its honors include the capture of the Jewish general Josephus (later a prominent historian) in the First Jewish Revolt and was led by the future Emperor Titus in the Dacian and Parthian Wars
