BIO

Mike Brunlieb is a performing artist and teacher in Chicago. His partner Meg and kid Nina are great and he loves em a lot. He performs with a number of improv ensembles, including a group called Sand that he has worked with for a long time. Mike also teaches and directs for plays, improvisation, and sketch shows. He studied improvisation at iO Chicago and at the Paul Sills Game Center with Aretha Sills. Mike also works in film / TV and has recently appeared in TV show Joe Pera Talks to You and Southside. He admires the work of Viola Spolin and her non-hierarchical non-authoritarian way of doing things. He is teaching a class at the University of Illinois - Chicago and doing database work for the Steppenwolf Theatre Company.
