What do you want the world to know about you?

I split my time between clinical social work, writing, and having a Lot of Feelings about writing. I moved to Chicago in 2010 to pursue playwriting and while I've moved away from that specific form, I've continued to write and dream about artistic community. I'm now in a monogamous-ish relationship with a novel that I'm writing about sleep.

What do you daydream about?

Getting to interview people about things they love, being interviewed by Terri Gross, that long lost documentary theatre piece I'll maybe make someday, the perfect time and place to nap. Travel.

What hobbies and interests do you geek out about?

One of the things I love about writing is the research rabbit holes it takes me down -- for example, right now I'm learning a lot about pharmaceutical sales! I also love falling into a good novel or podcast. I will always pet a dog (with their owner's permission, I'm not a monster!)

What do you do in the Midwives?

As board secretary, I am the taker of minutes for all of our board meetings. I'm also involved in trying to spread the word about the Midwives, and looking for other communities and organizations we may want to collaborate with.
