midwife's goal is to guide you through pregnancy by providing information about how healthy babies and families are built. We wear many hats when providing care to women and their families;health care provider, teacher, advocate, resource, and (hopefully) friend. Your labor and birth are exactly that... yours. Throughout pregnancy, as you read and research pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, you will make many decisions about what is right for you during labor and birth. Our job is to facilitate those decisions and to stand as advocate for you, your birth, and your family.

idwives are experts in normal pregnancy, labor, and birth. Approximately 80% of women have normal pregnancies and birth and never need to see a physician. For that 20% who need consultation, co-management, or referral to a physician, midwives have agreements with physicians who will provide these services.
